Weather in Kenya

Much of Kenya is above 5,000 feet, so apart from the cool months of July and august it is hot during the day and cool at night. The coastal areas tend to be warm all year round. Rainfall comes in short, heavy showers usually in the afternoon or evenings. The long rains fall between March and June, whereas the short rains fall usually in November and early December.
CLOTHING: summer clothes throughout the year. A light rain- coat might be handy. Good sunglasses and suntan creams are essential. On safari, cool mornings and evenings warranta pullover. Nudity on the beaches or in any public place is illegal.
