Weather in Argentina

Argentina may be divided into four broad climatic regions: the north eastern interior, western Argentina, the pampas and Patagonia.
NORTH EASTERN INTERIOR: tropical climate, this area may be uncomfortable during the summer because of the mixture of heat and humidity. Winters are generally mild & often warm. Temperature tends to be quite high all year.
WESTERN ARGENTINA: is a dry region. In a lot of areas the rainfall is below 250mm and is unreliable. During the hot summer months rainfall is more frequent.
PAMPAS: In this area you can experience mild winters and expect rain during the warm summer months. This region does not experience extreme heat or cold.
PATAGONIA: temperate climate; with cool summers and long winters with occasional frost or snow.
CLOTHING: Medium and light clothing is recommended during the warmer months. In the south warmer clothing is necessary and also in the central regions during the winter months.
Rainwear/waterproof clothing comes in useful in every area of Argentina.
