in the future may benefit from improvements to the country's public transport system, if comments from the transport minister are anything to go by.
According to News24, Sibusiso Ndebele said that the integrated rapid public transport networks (IRPTNs) put in place to handle the volume of visitors during the World Cup should kickstart a reformation of existing links.
He explained that he expected IRPTNs to "entirely reshape" public transport in the country, in news which may be of interest to those seeking

Priority rail corridors and bus rapid transit systems are two changes expected to be implemented widely in the planned public transport strategy (PTS), which is designed to produce links that are safe, clean and comfortable.
"The long-term goal of the PTS is to have 85 per cent of a metropolitan city's population within one kilometre of the network," Mr Ndebele added.
This comes after South Africa's president Jacob Zuma recently hailed the benefits that the World Cup has had on the country.
