DAY 1 – LONDON – MUSCAT
Assemble at London Heathrow airport to board your flight to Muscat. On arrival Muscat you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Sheraton. Overnight at hotel Sheraton – Muscat.
DAY 2 – MUSCAT (B)
Breakfast at hotel .Later depart for city tour of Oman starting with the recently completed Grand Mosque and continuing to Old Muscat via the Omani Museum. In Old Muscat, see the Sultan's Palace and the forts of Jalali and Mirani, before driving to Muttrah souq .Overnight at hotel Sheraton – Muscat.
DAY 3 – MUSCAT – NIZWA (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Later drive through the Sumail Gap, guarded by watchtowers, to the interior of Oman. Visit Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Jabrin Fort, a former retreat of the Imam, now superbly restored. Overnight at hotel Falaj Daris – Nizwa.
DAY 4 – NIZWA (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Later visit to the souq to view a traditional cattle auction. Continue to the massive fort of Nizwa which dominates the town. Afternoon visit to Misfah, a village built into the cliff side; Al Hamra, an elegant village with terraced gardens; and Wadi Ghul, which has a sheer one kilometre deep gorge. Overnight at hotel Falaji Daris –Nizwa.
DAY 5 – NIZWA – SUR (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Later set off this morning in a 4 x 4 vehicle for the Wahiba Sands, home to the Bedu people. Continue through Wadi Bani Khalid, a picturesque river valley, before arriving in Sur. On arrival check in at hotel Sur Plaza. The evening is free for your own leisure and other activities. Overnight at hotel Sur Plaza – Sur.
DAY 6 – SUR – MUSCAT (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Sur was the hub for trade with Zanzibar, India and China and the dhows which carried this trade are still built in the shipyard you visit this morning. Continue along the coastal road to Muscat stopping at Qalhaat, an ancient city visited by Marco Polo, and Wadi Shab, a palm-fringed lagoon. Overnight at hotel Sheraton – Muscat.
DAY 7 – MUSCAT (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Later the day is free for your own leisure and other shopping activities. Overnight at hotel Sheraton – Muscat.
DAY 8 – MUSCAT (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Later the day is free for your own leisure and other shopping activities. Overnight at hotel Sheraton – Muscat.
DAY 9 – MUSCAT – LONDON (B)
Breakfast at hotel . Later the day is free your own leisure. In the evening transfer to Muscat airport to board your flight to London. Overnight flight.
DAY 10 – LONDON
Tour ends on arrival London.
