14 DAY CULTURAL CAMBODIA & CLASSIC THAILAND TOUR

DAY 1 – SIEM REAP
On arrival Siem Reap you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Angkor century. The town of Siem Reap is our base for exploring the world famous temples of the ancient city Angkor, which was the capital of the powerful Khmer Empire from 802 AD to 1350 AD. This stunning and extensive site sprawls through the dense jungle, over an area of 60 square miles. This intricately carved temples date back from the 11th to 13th centuries although some are even older.  Overnight at hotel Angkor Century – Siem Reap.

DAY 2 – SIEM REAP – ANGKOR TEMPLE (B)

After breakfast, today we continue seeing in some depth the complex of Angkor.  The jungle-covered temple of Ta Prohm is our first stop. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers, which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of this structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. We explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevado. The grand circuit with Preah Khan, Kravan, Neak Pean, Krol Ko, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup Temples, is also visited this afternoon before we walk up to Phnom Bakheng Hill for a view of the spectacular sunset over these sandstone monuments. DAY 3 – SIEM REAP – ANGKOR TEMPLE (B)
After breakfast , Heading out of the town we drive on a newly paved road past the Preah Dark village to the intricately carved and well-preserved temple of Banteay Srei. After seeing this beautiful landmark we continue driving through the rugged mountain scenery to Kbal Soean, known as the River of 1000 Lingas. A view over the riverbed carvings is impressive. The next stop of our trip is the Banteay Samre Temple, which is adorned with impressive relief depicting scenes of Vishnu as well as Krishna legends. We also have time today, exploring the ancient Khmer civilization site of Hariharalaya, which flourished in the late 9th and earlier 10th centuries. DAY 4 – SIEM REAP (B)

After early breakfast, today we have an opportunity to enjoy a short boat excursion, exploring Tonle Sap Lake. The experience is wonderful as we pass by floating village, friendly children in small boats and fishermen pulling in morning catch. Then the day is free for your own shopping activities. DAY 6 – SIEM REAP – BANGKOK (B)
After breakfast transfer to Siem Reap International airport to board your Bangkok Airways flight to Bangkok. Flight No: PG 924 Departure Siem Reap 09:50 hrs / Arrival Bangkok 10:45 hrs. On arrival Bangkok you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Indra Regent. Then the day is free for your own leisure and other shopping activities. DAY 7 – BANGKOK (B)

After early breakfast we leave to Kanchanaburi, home of well known Bridge over the river Kwai, The cemetery of Allied Prisoners of World War II who perished
while building the "Death Railway", visiting to The War museum and bridge over the River Kwai to look at surrounding. Leave from train station to travel by train to "NAM TOK" station along the "Death Railway" including the dangerous curving wooden bridge built by the Allied prisoners of World War II.After lunch at local restaurant , we visit the (Tiger Temple) Pha Luang Ta Bua Yannasampanno monastery, where tourists come to see man and beast living together in perfect harmony. While traveller visit the Tiger's everyday life style of wild other kind of wild. Also see the other animals such as deer, wild fowl, and wild boar. Then in the evening transfer back to Bangkok. DAY 8 – BANGKOK – AYUTTHAYA - BANGKOK (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Later depart for a full-day tour to the former capital of Thailand, Ayutthaya, starts at the Summer Palace of the late King Rama V, a masterpiece of Thai architecture. We then visit the Unesco-rated world heritage site of Ayutthaya.Then the evening is free for your shopping activities in Bangkok. Overnight stay at hotel Indra Regent – Bangkok.

DAY 9 – BANGKOK (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Then depart for a full day tour of Damnoen Saduak floating market & Rose Garden. A fabulous step into the past! Water has always played a major part in Thai life but ever increasingly “modernization” is creating up on old customs with the result that many familiar sights like the traditional floating markets are gradually disappearing. Take advantage of this very special tour during the course of which you can still witness, first hand, Thai – style canoes laden with colourful, succulent fruits, vegetables, sweets and meats, gently plying their way through the canals at Damnoen saduak.On our way to lunch at the Rose Garden Cultural Centre, we make a stop at Phra Pathom Chedi, the largest Pagoda in Southeast Asia. After a traditional Thai lunch served in unique and wonderfully picturesque surroundings, you are entertained by an unrivalled production of events portraying a full and varied selection of Thai history, tradition and culture such as a re-enactment of Thai wedding ceremony; elegant finger-nail dancing; traditional bamboo dancing; Thai boxing; an elephant show and even an elephant ride, should you wish! DAY 11 – BANGKOK (B)

After breakfast leave for half-day city tour of Bangkok. A chance to study every day Thai Life as you start the tour by making your way through the bustling streets of Bangkok’s China town – the heart of the old business area of the city heading towards three of the most impressive Buddhist temples in Bangkok. First stop is at “Wat Trimit”, the temple of Golden Buddha, which houses an impressive three meters tall 5.5 ton, solid gold Buddha sculpted in the graceful Sukhothai style. Then visit the “Wat Pho”, the reclining Buddha; it is the oldest and largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand. And last but by no means is least “Wat Benchamabophit”, the Marble Temple, constructed in exquisite white Carrara marble. This particular temple is a prime example of Modern Thai architecture and houses a famed collection of Buddha mages representing various periods and derivations. Later marvel at the sea of colour to be found at the flower market at Pakklong Talad before, finally, driving up Rajdamnern Avenue, a major artery of the city lined by government buildings, United Nations offices and mid – century hotels and shops .The Avenue itself is dominated by the magnificent “Democracy Monument”. If time permits, there will be a chance to see gifted Thai craftsmen transform unidentifiable lumps of stone into superbly beautiful sapphires, rubies and emeralds from which they create world famous works.
