15 Day - Thailand & Sri Lanka

Day 1 - LONDON – BANGKOK
Assemble at Gatwick airport to board your flight to Bangkok. Overnight flight

Day 2 - BANGKOK

On arrival Bangkok you will be welcomed and transferred to Hotel Baiyoke Sky. Then the evening is free for your own leisure. Overnight at hotel Baiyoke Sky - Bangkok.

Day 3 - BANGKOK – PATTAYA (B)
After breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Pattaya by road .On arrival Pattaya Check in hotel Siam Bay Shore. Then the afternoon is free for you own leisure to relax in Pattaya Beach. Overnight at hotel Siam Bay Shore – Pattaya.

Day 4 - PATTAYA (B/L)

After breakfast at hotel. Depart by local fishing boat for Koh Lan Island then, on arrival, change on the smell glass bottom boats for coral viewing .A seafood lunch will be served on one of the local restaurants on the island before you afternoon of leisure spent swimming, snorkelling, water – skiing, Para-sailing or just relaxing and sunbathing. Then in the evening transfer back to Pattaya. Overnight at hotel Siam Bay Shore – Pattaya.

Day 5 - BANGKOK – PATTAYA (B)

After breakfast at hotel. Depart to Bangkok by road. On arrival Bangkok proceed for half-day city tour of Bangkok. A chance to study every day Thai Life as you start the tour by making your way through the bustling streets of Bangkok’s China town – the heart of the old business area of the city heading towards three of the most impressive Buddhist temples in Bangkok. First stop is at “Wat Trimit”, the temple of Golden Buddha, which houses an impressive three meters tall 5.5 ton, solid gold Buddha sculpted in the graceful Sukhothai style. Then visit the “Wat Pho”, the reclining Buddha; it is the oldest and largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand.

And last but by no means least is “Wat Benchamabophit”, the Marble Temple, constructed in exquisite white Carrara marble. This particular temple is a prime example of Modern Thai architecture and houses a famed collection of Buddha mages representing various periods and derivations. Later marvel at the sea of colour to be found at the flower market at Pakklong Talad before, finally, driving up Rajdamnern Avenue, a major artery of the city lined by government buildings, United Nations offices and mid – century hotels and shops .The avenue itself is dominated by the magnificent “Democracy Monument”. If time permits, there will be a chance to see gifted Thai craftsmen transform unidentifiable lumps of stone into superbly beautiful sapphires, rubies and emeralds from which they create world famous works of art! Overnight at hotel Baiyoke Sky – Bangkok.

Day 6 - BANGKOK (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. Then depart for a full day tour of Damnoen Saduak floating market & Rose Garden. A fabulous step into the past! Water has always played a major part in Thai life but ever increasingly “modernization” is creating up on old customs with the result that many familiar sights like the traditional floating markets are gradually disappearing. Take advantage of this very special tour during the course of which you can still witness, first hand, Thai – style canoes laden with colourful, succulent fruits, vegetables, sweets and meats, gently plying their way through the canals at Damnoen saduak.

On our way to lunch at the Rose Garden Cultural Centre, we make a stop at Phra Pathom Chedi, the largest Pagoda in Southeast Asia. After a traditional Thai lunch served in unique and wonderfully picturesque surroundings, you are entertained by an unrivalled production of events portraying a full and varied selection of Thai history, tradition and culture such as a re-enactment of Thai wedding ceremony; elegant finger-nail dancing; traditional bamboo dancing; Thai boxing; an elephant show and even an elephant ride, should you wish! Then the evening is free for your own leisure and other activities. Overnight at hotel Baiyoke sky – Bangkok

Day 7 - BANGKOK – COLOMBO (B/D)

Breakfast at hotel. Later depart to Bangkok airport to board your flight to Colombo. On arrival Colombo you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel. Then the evening is free for your own leisure and other activities. Dinner and overnight at hotel – Colombo.

Day 8 - COLOMBO (B/D)

Breakfast at hotel. Later depart for a City tour of Colombo the commercial capital. Visit the busy Bazaar, Churches, Buddhist temples & Hindu Kovils and pay visits to the Independence Square & drive pass the conference a premier meeting & congress centre gifted in the early 70s by the Chinese government. Dinner and Overnight at hotel – Colombo.

Day 9 - COLOMBO (B/D)

Breakfast at hotel. Later depart to Kandy by road. On arrival Kandy check in at hotel.Then in the evening witness the cultural dance of Srilanka. Dinner and overnight at hotel – Kandy.

Day 10 - COLOMBO (B/D)

Breakfast at hotel. Later depart for a full day tour of Kandy, which includes Kandy temple, the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, and traditional batik factory .In, the afternoon excursion to the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela where you could witness around 60 Elephants in very close range. Dinner and overnight at hotel –Kandy.

Day11 - KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA (B/D)

After breakfast, drive to Nuwara Eliya drive through the grand tea gardens of Sri Lanka. Along the way enjoy the spectacular scenery and waterfalls. Visit Horton Plains This Forest Nature Reserve is set on a highland plateau, 7000 feet above sea level. It has a variety of rare flora and fauna that is unique to the area and to be found in no other part of the world. A gentle trek in the bracing climate brings you to “World’s End”. The feeling of exultation and the excitement that grips you as you peer down this sheer precipice is the experience of a lifetime. Words cannot express the beauty of the awesome forbidding scenery while you stand at the edge of a frightening, precipitous drop of 328 meters. On a clear day you can see in the far distance a shimmering streak of water, which is the Indian Ocean more than 50 miles away. Evening relax at the Hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel – Nuwara Eliya.

Day 12 - NUWARA ELIYA – COLOMBO (B/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Later depart to Colombo and check in at hotel. Then the day is free for your own leisure to relax on the beach. Dinner and overnight at hotel – Colombo.

Day 13 - COLOMBO (B/D)

Breakfast at hotel. Later the day is free for your own leisure to relax on the beach. Dinner and overnight at hotel – Colombo.

Day 14 - COLOMBO (B/D)
