DAY 1 – LONDON – ATHENS
Assemble at London Heathrow airport to board your Olympic Airlines flight to Athens. Flight No: OA 270 Departure London 16:35 hrs / Arrival Athens 22:10 hrs. On arrival Athens you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Polis Grand. Overnight stay at hotel Polis Grand – Athens.
DAY 2 – ATHENS (B)
After breakfast leave for Athens City tour visit the Panathinaiko Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games took place in 1896 (visit). Pass by the Museum of Cycladic Art, the Byzantine Museum, War Museum, National Gallery, Prime Minister's residence, Ex Royal Palace (guarded by the colorful Evzones), Zappion Garden, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, St. Pauls Church, Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Schlieman's House, Catholic Cathedral, Academy, University, National Library, Omania Square, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, Russian Orthodox Church, Theatre of Dionyssus, and Theatre of Herodus Atticus. Visit the Acropolis and tour the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, Erechtheion and the Museum of Acropolis. Then the evening is free for your own leisure and other activities. Overnight stay at hotel Polis Grand – Athens.
DAY 3 – ATHENS –NAFPLION (B)
After breakfast we leave for the Peloponnese crossing the Corinth Canal by boat and continuing to Epidaurus with its magnificent theatre. At Mycenae, the citadel of Agamemnon, see the Lion Gate, Royal Tomb Shafts, the Treasury of Atreus and Beehive tomb. Explore the elegant Venetian port of Nafplion and enjoy a short cruise to Bourtzi fortress. Overnight stay at hotel Grand Bretagne - Nafplion.
DAY 4 – NAFPLION – SPARTA (B)
After breakfast we drive over the Arcadian Mountains to Sparta. On arrival check in at hotel Menelaon. Visit the medieval Frankish capital of Mystras with Byzantine churches and the ruined Despot’s Palace. Also visit the small Acropolis and theatre in nearby Sparta. Dinner at a local taverna.Overnight stay at hotel Menelaon – Sparta.
DAY 5 – SPARTA (B)
After breakfast we travel to the east coast of the Peloponnese to visit the ancient fortress and town of Monemvasia. Visit the Archaeological Museum at Sparta. Overnight stay at hotel Menelaon – Sparta.
DAY 6 – SPARTA – RHODES (B)
After breakfast visit the Bay of Navarino (formerly Pylos) and Nestor’s Palace before driving to Methone and the Venetian castle that commanded this farthest outpost in the Morea. On arrival Rhodes check in at hotel Olympia Palace. Then the evening is free for your own leisure and other activities. Overnight stay at hotel Olympia Palace – Rhodes.
DAY 7 – RHODES (B)
After breakfast we visit the extensive ruins of Olympia including the temples of Zeus and Hera, the first Olympic stadium and later the Archaeological and Olympic Museum. Overnight stay at hotel Olympia Palace – Rhodes.
DAY 8 – RHODES –DELPHI (B)
After breakfast we drive via the bridge at Rion Antirion to Delphi. Visit the museum and the ruined Tholos at the Athina Proneas sanctuary before ascending the Sacred Way to the Temple of Apollo, site of the famous Delphic Oracle, the theatre and stadium. Overnight stay at hotel Apollonia – Delphi.
DAY 9 – DELHI – ATHENS – LONDON (B)
After breakfast transfer to Athens International airport to board your Olympic Airlines flight to London. Flight No: OA 269 Departure Athens 13:30 hrs / Arrival London 15:30 hrs. Tour ends on arrival London.
