Day 1 - ARRIVAL / NEGOMBO
Arrival and transfer to Negombo for overnight stay. Enjoy your breakfast in the morning. In the afternoon enjoy a sight seeing tour. Negombo is in the heart of Sri Lanka''s fishing industry. The sea and catamarans are the backdrop of the Negombo scenery. Visit the Negombo lagoon and a fish auction. Also visit the Dutch Fort and a Catholic Church.

DAY 2 NEGOMBO / ANURADHAPURA

After breakfast proceed to Anuradhapura. This afternoon, visit sacred city of Anuradhapura, founded in the 3rd century BC is venerated as the Capital City of Buddhism. The sacred Bo Tree grown from a sapling of the tree, under which the Buddha attained enlightenment, is the oldest living tree in documented history. In it's vicinity are the remains of the Brazen Palace, the towering Ruwanweliseya Dagaba, the Seated Samadhi Buddha, Temples, Palaces and Parks all of which bear testimony to a proud and imaginative people.

DAY 3 WILLPATTU NATIONAL PARK / ANURADHAPURA
After the breakfast or with the Packet Breakfast you’ll enjoy your first wildlife encounters, on an early morning jeep safari in Wilpattu National Park. the largest reserve in Sri Lanka, covering large land, and a haven of dense jungle, savannah, sand dunes and lakes all of which provide the perfect habitat for spotting wildlife. Meaning ‘land of lakes’, the lakes themselves attract wildlife at either end of the day and your afternoon visit presents a good chance of spotting one of Wilpattu’s famous leopards. In between your safari’s there’s time to relax.

DAY 4 SIGIRIYA / GIRITALE

This morning you drive from Anuradhapura to Sigiriya, visit the Sigiriya rock fortress. Climb through the ‘Lions Paws’ to the top for an amazing view of the surrounding plains. Admire the world famous frescoes of the ‘Sigiriya maidens’ and take a stroll along the well laid out gardens with its water features.
In the afternoon enjoy a village safari in Polonnaruwa. You will see how the village people are living in the villages and you will be visiting for a village house. And also visit a temple where over 200 Buddhist monks are having meditations in the jungle. You will be able to see the small houses of the Buddhist monks are living.

DAY 5 DAMBULLA / KANDY

After breakfast proceed to Kandy. . Along the way, stop at the Dambulla Caves temple and admire the many statues of the Buddha and the paintings on the cave’s ceiling walls. Afterwards, you continue to the royal city of Kandy - once the capital of a kingdom that resisted European dominance for a further three hundred years after the coastal areas capitulated. It is pleasantly set on the edge of a lake, surrounded by hills. This afternoon you set out on a guided tour of what many believe is the under-rated Udawattakele Nature Reserve - a mini tropical rainforest. The reserve is a haven for bird life and you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the colourful black-backed kingfisher or a colony of bats, which live amidst the flora, and fauna of the reserve.

DAY 6 KANDY
After breakfast proceed to Pinnawala Elephant orphanage. Here you get a chance to get real close to a large herd of elephants, then follow them down to the river where you can spend many hours watching them bathe and play.On your return to Kandy you’ll stop at a working tea factory where the complicated process of drying and sorting the tea is explained.In the late afternoon visit to the Kandy temple of the tooth relic. This is the major shrine where pilgrims have revered Buddha’s tooth since the 16th century; Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Topaz - Kandy

DAY 7 KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA
After breakfast leave to Thanamalwila. En-route you can stop and enjoy a cup of Ceylon Tea while enjoying the spectacular scenery. “Nuwara Eliya” because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, is Sri Lanka s most popular hill resort. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka s tea country producing a significant share of the world best tea. Sri Lanka s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here. Nuwara-Eliya also has one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia.

DAY 8 - NUWARA ELIYA / THANAMALWILA

After the breakfast proceed to Thanamalwila. Check in at Task Camp (Jungle Camp) Dinner and overnight stay at Task Kamp – Kuda Oya.

DAY 9 - UDAWALAWA NATIONAL PARK / Kataragama)
After breakfast enjoy a safari in Udawalawe National park. The 308 square kilometres of park have a wide variety of animal and bird life; herds of wild elephant are more numerous here than anywhere else in Sri Lanka. Your jeep safari should give you close encounters with elephants and if you are lucky you may catch sight of spotted deer and crocodile.

After visit Udawalawe proceed to Kataragama. In the afternoon visit Kataragama. Kataragama is perhaps the most visited holy places in the country. Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims flock to the shrines located there. The deity most often associated with Kataragama is Skanda. Buddhists travel to Kataragama ostensibly to visit the Kirivehera, a dagoba where the Buddha is said to have meditated in his 3rd and final visit to Sri Lanka.

DAY 10 - YALA NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy your breakfast from the hotel and enjoy a safari in Yala (Full Day) this park has a wide variety of animal and bird life with herds of wild elephant numerous; the drier, thorn-scrub landscape perfect as a habitat. Here they co-exist alongside spotted deer, wild boar, elks, buffaloes, leopard and crocodile. Dinner and overnight stay at Rosen Renaissance - Kataragama

DAY 11 – GALLE / COLOMBO
After breakfast proceed to Colombo. Enjoy a sight seeing tour in Galle; explore the famous Dutch Fort. Rightly declared a World Heritage Site in 1988, the old fort area contains houses, lovely churches and other imposing buildings, and was once a hub of activity on the island. It is a joy to explore the now quiet back streets of this colonial city and be transported back in time as you marvel at the magnificent buildings where the Dutch, Portuguese and British once traded spices.
On arrival in Colombo – Sri Lanka’s vibrant and colourful capital city, there is the balance of the afternoon left free to explore - the centre, known as ‘Fort’, is easy to get around on foot or by three-wheeler auto-rickshaw. (Optional) Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Sapphire - Colombo.

DAY 12 – Departure

Morning transfer to the airport for your return flight to LHR.
