Day 01: COLOMBO
Arrival and transfer to Colombo. Check in at Cinnamon Grand Hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a city Tour in Colombo, like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some Parts, the old world charm is retained. For example, there is a 100-year-old clock tower And several British built colonial buildings. Other places of interest are the Pettah bazaar - Where one can shop for bargain, a Hindu and a Buddhisttemple, residential areas where You find the stately homes of the affluent. Day 02: Pinnawela - SIGIRIYA
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Sigiriya. En-route visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, established in 1975, commenced with seven orphans. Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their grandchildren born in the same location. The original objective of establishing the orphanage inclined more towards tourism, but is soon became a conservation and educational center. With the help of local and foreign elephant experts, Pinnawela started a scientific captive-breeding program for elephants. The free movement of the herd enhanced the chances for respective individuals of both sexes to get together and mate. The nearby river played a dominant role in this regard, and in 1984, the first baby of Pinnawela was born. In the late afternoon climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress that is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The 'Lion Rock' is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.

Day 03: Polonnaruwa-SIGIRIYA
After breakfast transfer to Polonnaruwa to visit Polonnaruwa, which was the 2nd capital city of Sri Lanka built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD, and which is a world heritage site. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya where 4 splendid statues of the Buddha in 'Upright', 'Sedentary' and 'Recumbent' postures carved out of rock could be seen, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, the statue of king Parakramabahu, and the Parakrama Samudraya - a lake built by King Parakramabahu the great. There are also monuments of famous places of worship such as the Shiva Temple, the Lankathilake, the Watadage, the Galpotha, the Kiri Vehera and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic. Return to Sigiriya. En-route enjoy 01-hour elephant ride at Habarana.

Day 04: Dambulla - KANDY
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Kandy. En-route visit Dambulla rock temple, which has been built by king Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. and it is a world heritage site. Also, it is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 meters. Visit a spice and herbal garden at Matale as well. Reach to Kandy. Check in at Amaya Hills. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 05: KANDY
Early morning enjoy a nature walk at Udawattakelle sanctuary. This sanctuary is the heart of Kandy city since fountains from this sanctuary provide fresh water to the residences. In the Afternoon enjoy a city tour in Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings Which is a World Heritage Site. The name "Kandy" conjures visions of splendor and Magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts center, a gem museum and a lapidary. Visit Royal Botanical Garden. The Peradeniya Botanical Garden is easily one of the best of its kind in the World. The many beautiful avenues will lead one to sections, which provide a burst of tropical color. We recommend you to stay at least 02 hours and then only you will find about Sri Lankan species of flora and fauna. Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy and witness a Cultural show in the evening.

Day 06: train to NawalaPitiya-KITHULGALA
After breakfast transfer to Kandy railway station to get the morning train to Nawala-Pitiya. Transfer to Kithulgala by vehicle. Check in at Kithulgala Rest House. In the afternoon enjoy a nature walk at nearby Kelanivaley forest. (Need to advise on leeches.)
Dinner and overnight stay at Kithulgala Rest House.(Standard A/c room).

Day 07: Adam's Peak-DICK-OYA
After breakfast stay at leisure or enjoy an optional session of White water rafting at Kelani ganga river. In the afternoon check out and transfer to Dick-Oya. Check in at Upper Glencairn Hotel. And prepare for mid night Adam’s peak climb. In the midnight after dinner start the Adam’s Peak climb. This will be a lifetime experience because you have to climb with thousands of local pilgrims since it is the season. You will never feel tired on this 14 K.M up and down climb because it is very interactive with locals.

Day 08: Nuwara Eliya
Reach to the top in the next day early morning and visit the sunrise. Descend down and transfer to Nuwara-Eliya. Check in at Grand Hotel. Stay rest of the day at leisure or enjoy an optional city tour. Dinner and overnight stay at Grand Hotel (Governor’s wing).

Day 09: YALA
After breakfast check out and transfer to Yala, En-route visit Ella gap. In the late afternoon, enjoy a safari of the Yala National Park by jeep. Yala is the largest National Park in Sri Lanka, which is the home for wild elephants, wild boars, wild buffaloes, leopards, bears, deers and crocodiles. Large flocks of migratory and indigenous birds are also found here. Return to the hotel. In the late afternoon do another safari at Yala.

Day 10: KALUTARA
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Kalutara. En-route visit Galle Royal Dutch Fort and Kosgoda turtle hatchery. Check in at Royal Palms Beach Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
