London Luton celebrates 10th Birthday with Wizz Air

Wizz Air, the largest low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe celebrates its 10th Birthday at London Luton where it all began. In 2004, it was the first time when Wizz Air flight was first departed from Katowice to London Luton. Today the airline flies to 27 destinations across 13 countries from London Luton and has carried over 16 million passengers from the airport.

In the words of Simon Harley, Business Development Manager, London Luton, the airport authorities are delighted to be wishing Wizz Air a Happy 10th Birthday today. London Luton continues to be Wizz Air’s principal hub with in the UK and is proud to have played its part in the success story of Wizz Air’s achievements. The airport is looking forward to continuing this great partnership and the new opportunities that development of the Airport will bring.
