Flights commenced between Manchester and Charlotte

Flights have commenced between Manchester and Charlotte, North Carolina. The new daily American Airline flight, operated by US Airways arrive the airport and is welcomed by the customary water cannon salute and cake for passengers.

According to Andrew Cowan, Coo of Manchester Airports Group (MAG), it is not only great news for Manchester Airport but for the entire region. The introduction of daily flights to Charlotte will further strengthen the connections from Manchester to North America, with a wealth of onward connectivity.

In the words of Clive Cook, American managing director of airports UK and Ireland, Manchester has been hugely important city for American Airlines for many years and the airline is thrilled to add flights to Charlotte complementing the existing services to Chicago, New York and Philadelphia.
