Brazilian Carnival
Every year, forty days before easter, Brazil comes to a standstill. It's carnival time! For 4 days from Saturday to Shrove Tuesday, the country sings and dances in dance halls and clubs, on the streets and beaches, or whateverand whenever there are people and music.
Although Carnival is celebrated in towns and villages throughout Brazil and other Catholic countries, Rio de Janiero has long been regarded as the Carnival Capital of the World.
