Easyjet to launch six routes, increase frequency from Amsterdam

Easyjet has announced to launch six new routes from its forthcoming Amsterdam Schiphol hub.

The carrier has plans to launch flights to Hamburg, Venice, Toulouse, Nice, Olbia and Dubrovnik from its new base.

Apart from this, airline also has plans to increase number of weekly flights on London Gatwick- Amsterdam route from 42 to 49. The carrier will also increase frequency from Amsterdam to Basel (from 13 to 16 weekly); Berlin (16 to 18 weekly); Bordeaux (four to seven weekly); and Bristol (nine to 11 weekly).

With start of Amsterdam base, the carrier will be able to launch morning departure to Geneva.

The airline said that basing three aircraft in the Netherlands will provide more choice for Dutch passengers besides helping boost local tourism and economy by creating jobs and increased passenger numbers.
