WestJet to launch additional services from Glasgow next year

WestJet a Canadian carrier has announced to increase the number of flights between Glasgow Airport and Halifax, Nova Scotia next summer. With this announcement more than 3,800 seats would be available for passengers.

The carrier will launch its 2016 flight schedule on 2 May, four weeks ahead compared to 2016.

Francois Bourienne, Commercial Director at Glasgow Airport expressed his pleasure saying the new route has been well received by their customers. And the carrier has shown confidence in this route by increasing the number of flights in its 2016 schedule.

Canada is third largest international market for Glasgow and this new route is highly popular among Scottish passengers as well. Glasgow Airport is proud of its long haul connectivity and WestJet and its extensive network throughout North America will be instrumental in strengthening the close ties between Scotland and Canada.

The launch of this service will benefit business as well leisure passengers.
