Turkish Airlines to boost flights on Manchester – Istanbul route

Turkish Airlines has announced to increase services between Manchester and Istanbul from next summer.

Presently, the airline is operating twice daily services to Manchester. The airline will be adding four weekly flights from May 25 and another three weekly services from June 22 taking the number of weekly flights on this route to 21, or three daily.

As scheduled, service TK1491 will depart Istanbul at 2030 and arriving in Manchester at 2240, while return leg TK1492 will depart Manchester at 2345 and returning back to Istanbul at 0540 the next day.

A top placed official from the airline said that new flight will depart Manchester at 2345, to provide additional seamless connections to Eastern Europe, parts of the Middle East and key domestic destinations within Turkey.

This year the airport recorded an 18 per cent increase in passenger numbers between Januarys to August compared to the same period in 2013.

The increase in number of flights from Manchester to Istanbul will be highly beneficial for business and leisure travellers.
