BA to launch direct flights to San Jose

Mineta San Jose International Airport will soon receive first nonstop international flights from London when it British Airways will launch a direct flights to San Jose, California. The service will be operated using a B787-9 Dreamliner with four class configuration that includes eight seats in First, 42 in Club World (business), 39 in World Traveller Plus (premium economy), and 127 seats in World Traveller (economy). The airline’s World Traveller seat would be extra half-inch wide.

The service that starts on May 4 will be operated daily and it will be the only service between Europe and San Jose, said British Airways.

As scheduled outbound flights BA279 will depart LHR at 1515 to arrive in San Jose at 1805 while the return service BA278 will depart San Jose at 2000 to arrive back in London at 1405, the following day.

A top official from the airline said that the new daily service between Silicon Valley and London provide passengers onward connectivity to scores of destinations around the globe on airlines large network.
