EasyJet starts Porto base, launches new routes from the UK

EasyJet has opened its new base at Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport, Porto. The opening ceremony was held amidst presence of top officials from the airline and Portuguese government.

A top official from the airline said that Portugal is an important market for the airline and it have been flying to and from Portugal for 18 years and this launch has added another important milestone to airline’s history.

On this occasion the airline also announced to launch three new UK routes from Manchester, Bristol and London Luton Airports to the new Porto base.

As announced, flights from Bristol to Porto will start on 19 April and operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Manchester flights to Porto will commence on 24 May while flights from London Luton to Porto will start on 26 April.

With opening of Porto base the airline has added 25th base to its route network. The carrier will inaugurate its 26th base in Amsterdam on March 31.
