Vietnam Airlines shifts its services from Gatwick to Heathrow

Vietnam Airlines, the flag carrier of Vietnam has announced to move its London-bound services from Gatwick to Heathrow this summer.

The airline operates two twice-weekly flights to the UK capital, one from Hanoi and the other from Ho Chi Minh, using a B777-200ER.

As per announcement both services will move to London Heathrow from March 30. In addition, the airline also has plans to deploy a B787 Dreamliner onto the services from July 1.

The carrier launched its first direct nonstop flights between London and Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 2011.

Founded in 1952 the airline serves 52 destinations with a fleet of 89. The new announcement will be of great help for business and leisure travellers flying to and from on this route.
