To increase comforts for passengers flying between the UK and Vietnam, the flag carrier of Vietnam has launched Boeing 787 Dreamliner services. The inaugural Dreamliner flight arrived at London Heathrow Airport on Wednesday, where it was welcomed by HE Nguyen Van Thao, Vietnam’s Ambassador to the UK, Le Thanh Dzung, and Vietnam Airlines’ general manager for the UK & Ireland.

With this launch, Vietnam Airlines is operating its five weekly directs services from Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) to London using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The airline has become first airline to operate Dreamliner flights between Southeast Asia and Europe. The carrier has plans to operate daily flights between these destinations by summer 2016.

Previously in August, Vietnam Airlines became the first Asian carrier to operate both the Dreamliner and Airbus A350 services. The airline is undergoing a major fleet upgrade and it will receive 19 B787-9s and 14 A350-900s aircrafts by early 2019.

The airlines Dreamliner aircraft will offer 274 seats in a three-class configuration, or 311 seats in a two-class configuration.
