Qatar Airways to launch new service from Birmingham to Doha

Qatar Airways has announced launch a new service between Birmingham Airport and Doha from 30th March 2016.

The airline will offer eight flights a week that includes two flights on Saturdays that will offer passengers travelling on Birmingham – Doha route convenient flying options.

The launch of this route will further strengthen airline commitment to Birmingham which is the centre for the largest concentration of businesses outside London.

The carrier will operate this route using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner in two-cabin configuration that includes 22 seats in Business Class and 232 Economy Class seats.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker expressed his pleasure saying they are delighted to announce Birmingham as Qatar Airways’ fourth destination in the United Kingdom from March 2016. The route will create new commercial and leisure links between the city of Birmingham and the airline’s 152 destinations.

Birmingham Airport Chief Executive Officer, Paul Kehoe termed this a fantastic news for both Birmingham Airport and the region. He further said that with this launch, the passengers would have increased flying options.
