Soon passengers flying from London to Teheran would have more flying options as British Airways has confirmed relaunch of direct flights from London to Tehran, Iranian capital. With this launch BA will become the first airline to serve this route in four years.

From July 14, the carrier will fly six times a week to Tehran form LHR Terminal 5. The service will become daily from next winter.

Currently Iranian national carrier Iran Air is only airline offering direct flights between London and Iran.

Iran Air’s flights to London are limited as there are restrictions on the airline using European airspace and most of the travellers fly to Tehran via Istanbul.

A top official from the airline confirmed the news saying Iran is a large and growing economy and that it had exciting new prospects as a tourist destination.

The relaunch of this route would be highly beneficial for business as well as leisure travellers.
