Corniche

Place de l'Etoile

Place de l'Etoile is an important landmark in city situated in the downtown. The place has suffered damage due to war but has been restored to former glory. Situated at the centre of the square is the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saint George which is the Mother Cathedral of Orthodox community in Beirut and the oldest church in Lebanese capital.

Jeita Grotto

Jeita Grotto, a compound of crystallized caves is situated on the outskirts of Beirut. The place is made up two limestone caves. The tunnel provides an escape route to the river. Due to flow of water several cathedral-like vaults have been created that make it more interesting. The place is one of the more interesting attractions of Beirut tours.

National Museum of Beirut

National Museum of Beirut you will find artefact from prehistoric times to the medieval Mamluk period that throws light on mainly Lebanon's Archeology and History. There are video shows to demonstrate history of the museum. The museum got damaged during civil war but efforts were made for its restoration.

Beirut Art Center

The city which is good for those with love for history and archaeology doesn’t disappoint art lovers either. Beirut Art Center with its screening, exhibitions and performance is a good place for tourists with artistic inclination.

Besides other things, Beirut is also a great shopping destination. There are traditional markets, shopping malls and shopping streets to look after your shopping needs.
