Florence, the capital of Tuscany in Italy is known for its great historical importance. The cradle of Renaissance has always caught the imagination of travellers and remains of its great historical past are still adorning the city. Hordes of tourists from around the world including the UK fly to Florence which offers ample opportunities to feast their eyes on world class art and heritage. But much surprises lies in its streets where tales of history wafts around in the air. From food to wine and entertainment everything is an example of its own. Uffizi Gallery
Uffizi Gallery is one of the prime attractions in the city that gives an understanding of regions history though its vast collection. In addition to this, it is a fine place to see renaissance artwork. As it houses a vast collection of artworks a trip to this place could be time taking.
Duomo
Florence's Duomo is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city at par with Pisa's Leaning Tower and Rome's Colosseum. The building looks gorgeous with its red dome and architectural elegance.
Gucci Museum
One can go to visit Gucci Museum to add some moments of enjoyment to his trip. The museum is highly frequented by fashion maven and amateur fashionistas. If you don’t have interest in fashion you can while away your time visiting café, restaurant and bookstore attached with them.
Institute and Museum of the History of Science
The museum is based on entirely different theme as it displays the evolution of instruments used in different fields of science that includes mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, astronomy. You would also have the opportunity to visit the room of Galileo Galilei that showcase some original instruments as well as models from his drawings. Apart from this, there are some strange things on display that includes the middle finger of Galileo's right hand on display.
Piazza della Signoria
Piazza della Signoria have been hub of activities for several centuries and it has not lost its significance even today. Lined with historic cafes, Renaissance sculptures and magnificent Palazzo Vecchio, the plaza is equally famous among tourists and foreigners. It is the place where a common man stops for a hot coffee or a chocolate.
