The word Vietnam brings to mind bustling cities, enchanting landscape, mouth-watering delicacies and great cultural diversity. Combine it with impressive history and great heritage, and Vietnam appears to be a country which has all the making of an ideal travel destination. When to go

The climate of Vietnam varies from region to region and tourist should make their plan depending on the regions they have to visit. Still, the months of April, May and October could be good for the travellers. July and August are high seasons and overseas tourists should avoid these months as the popular destinations could be crowded.

How to get there

Vietnam’s capital Hanoi well connected to world via airline. Ho Chi Minh City is also connected through air services from major world destinations.

Getting Around

There is no dearth of options for getting around in Vietnam and travellers can chose one depending on their choice, preference and destinations they have to visit. The country has a train network of around 2600km that can be used for getting from one place to another. The trains travel to major cities, hinterlands and places of historical and cultural importance. Buses to far-flung areas of the country are available. Frequent ferry services in Mekong delta area are also available.

Visiting cities of Vietnam could be a visitor’s delight as every city has importance of its own. Most of the cities in Vietnam are an interesting mix of colonial grandeur and modern design. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) is glitters with several skyscrapers and commercial activities while Hanoi presents an interesting mix of Old and new Vietnam with certain Chinese and French influences. But if you want to visit real Vietnam visit Hoi An where lantern strewn alleys and farmers with fresh farm produce are raring to welcome you.

Con Dao the island situated off the coast of Mekong Delta is a tourist’s attraction of repute. Visiting Cuc Phuong National Park could be an experience in itself as it is home to some of the rarest wildlife and the Muong hill tribe. Ha Long Bay is well known for its scenic beauty. My Son Known for its ancient Hindu ruins is a UNESO world Heritage Site.
