Sitting astride the Limmat River, where the river originates from lake, Zurich is synonymous to vibrant culture, elegantly restored historic buildings and top notch shopping and dining options. Zurich Opera House (Zuricher Opernhaus)

One of the major attractions for culture buffs in the city, Zurich Opera House attracts a large number of visitors from the different parts of the world. Enjoying an ideal setting on the edge of a lake, the opera house runs a packed schedule from September to July. On an average, Opera House stages more than 300 performances in a calendar year.

Zurich Toy Museum

Zurich Toy Museum or Spielzeugmuseum is a popular draw card in the city and the place is highly popular among family vacationers. On your visit to this museum, you will be able to see toys and playthings European children used during the 18th to mid-20th centuries. The museums don’t have an entry fee and it is open from Monday through Saturday.

Church of Our Lady (Fraumunster)

The Fraumünster also called the Church of Our Lady looks beautiful with its elegant spire and Chagall stained glass. The church was built during the 9th century and spires and stained glass were added much later. The museum was designed by the Russian-Jewish master Marc Chagall who added a series of beautiful windows for the church.
