Air Canada, the flag carrier and largest airline in Canada, has started operating flights to Toronto from Heathrow’s new multi-million pound Terminal 2.

Air Canada and joint venture partner United Airlines are the first carriers to start operations at Terminal 2. The national carrier of Canada has also opened its new 700-square metre Maple Leaf Lounge in Terminal 2.

The airline has also announced its summer transatlantic schedule that includes up to 77 non-stop flights a week to eight Canadian cities – Toronto, Montréal, Vancouver, Halifax, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton and St. John’s.

The airline officials have said that Heathrow’s terminal 2 will enhance its customers’ travel experience with improved services and facilities. Airline’s Maple Leaf Lounge showcases world-class Canadian products.

The carrier operates more flights from the UK to Canada than any other airline and London Heathrow is one of the most important international airports for the airline. Air Canada’s passengers will get benefitted from improved connecting times at Heathrow.
