Norwegian launches Tenerife service from Birmingham

Budget carrier Norwegian has launched flights to Tenerife from Birmingham. The carrier will launch services to Gran Canaria on Friday (6th November). With this launch, it has become the fastest growing carrier at the airport in 2015.

Norwegian started flying from Birmingham in March 2015 and has since launched flights to Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga.

The recent announcement includes twice weekly, year-round flights to Tenerife and weekly flights to Gran Canaria.

Birmingham to Tenerife service launched yesterday (2nd November) and will operate on Mondays and Fridays departing at 18:15 and arriving at 22:25. While Birmingham to Gran Canaria service is scheduled to be launched on Friday (6th November) and will operate on Fridays departing at 18:10 and arriving at 22:30.

The carrier will operate this route with state-of-the-art Boeing 737 aircraft.

With this launch Norwegian has become top airline to have launched largest number of routes from Birmingham Airport. The carrier has carried over 70,000 passengers since it began flying from the airport.

The launch of two new routes will provide increased flying options between these destinations besides strengthening business and tourism ties.
