WOW Air to launch North America flights from Bristol

WOW Air, a low cost carrier, has announced to launch flights to North America and Iceland from Bristol airport. With this launch, Bristol will become airlines second departure point in the UK for these destinations.

Flights to Reykjavik will depart from Bristol Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The flights will take a short stopover in Reykjavik before flying to North American destinations - Boston, Washington D.C., Montreal, Toronto, Los Angeles or San Francisco.

Skúli Mogensen, founder and CEO of WOW air expressed his pleasure saying they are delighted to continue to grow WOW air’s presence in the UK, which is an important market for them. And their ultra low cost transatlantic model to Bristol will make flying to the US and Canada much easier for the South West and Wales passengers. He further said that the launch of flights will give options to holidaymakers.

Robert Sinclair, Chief Executive Office at Bristol Airport also expressed his pleasure saying they are thrilled about WOW air decision to select Bristol as its first UK regional airport for flights to the USA and Canada via the world-class Reykjavik hub.

The airline will operate Bristol to Reykjavik route with A320 Aircraft while flights between Reykjavik and North America would be operated with A321 and A330-300 aircrafts.
