Blue Air to launch Birmingham - Bucharest flights

Blue Air, a Romanian low cost carrier, has announced to launch flights to Bucharest from Birmingham airport. The airline will commence flights on this route from 29th March 2016.

The airline will operate this route twice weekly on Tuesday and Saturday with Boeing 737 aircraft. With this announcement the carrier has also announced the schedule of flights.

On Tuesdays, flight will depart Bucharest at 15:00hrs to arrive in Birmingham at 16:30hrs. The return flight will depart Birmingham at 17:15hrs to reach Bucharest at 22:35hrs. On Saturdays, the flights will depart Bucharest at 07:45hrs to reach Birmingham at 09:15hrs while return leg will depart Birmingham at 10:00hrs to arrive Bucharest at 15:20hrs.

William Pearson, Aviation Development Director of Birmingham Airport expressed pleasure on Blue Air’s decision to include Birmingham Airport in its expansion program for 2016. He said that the Blue Air is the ninth new airline to announce or commence services to Birmingham Airport this year.

Gheorghe RACARU, General Manager Blue Air expressed his pleasure saying they are happy to bring Birmingham closer to Romania’s largest city and capital and hoped that this route would be popular among business and leisure travellers.
