Flybe confirmed new routes from Cardiff Airport

Europe’s largest regional airline, Flybe has announced to open a new base at Cardiff Airport this summer.

The airline will offer 11 routes and new route add flights to active routes between Cardiff and Jersey, Dusseldorf, Belfast, together with new network between Cardiff airport and Edinburgh, Cork, Glasgow, Faro, Munich, Milan, Dublin and Paris airports.

The airline will land two of its active 118 seat E195 plane at the airport; the first is arriving in 1st June 2015 and the second is arriving in 1st Sep 2015.

Saad Hammad, CEO, Flybe said: “We are happy to introduce these exciting new networks from Cardiff Airport. We have been searching for a useful place for E195 aircraft and we are happy at this accord with Cardiff Airport which allows us basing two of these aircrafts there to provide the Welsh market with affordable fares and more getting better UK regional connectivity.”

The announcement point towards a long-term accord between Flybe and Cardiff Airport!
