Brussels Airlines the flag carrier airline of Belgium is all set to launch a service at East Midlands Airport. The European Airline has signed a partnership with Bmi Regional, opening up business travel destinations across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and North America. The codeshare agreement would bring benefits for business travellers by providing them seamless connections at Brussels Airlines hub in the Belgium capital on a single ticket.

In the words of Cathal O’Connell, chief executive Bmi Regional, the East Midlands route was its third code share partnership this year. It is the second partnership between the two airlines and incorporates 11 flights each week. It enables passengers to combine East Midland service with Brussels Airlines destinations including Berlin, Geneva, Milan, Rome, Vienna, New York, Cameroon, Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya. He further said that the latest code share agreement ensures the customers from East Midlands to enjoy the convenience that comes with links to 52 countries served by Brussels Airlines.

According to Andy Cliffe, Airport managing director, the passengers can now travel onwards to more than 50 countries worldwide with Bmi Regional and Brussels Airlines. This agreement shows there is a solid demand for a code share service from both business and leisure travellers from East Midlands region.
