Turkish Airline to operate Heathrow - Istanbul route daily

Turkish Airlines, the flag carrier of Turkey has announced to launch a daily service on LHR -Istanbul routes from October 25.

The carrier will operate this service using an A321 aircraft. With this launch, the total number of return services between the two cities will soar to 37 per week.

With this announcement the airline has also announced the schedule of flights. Turkish Airline’s outbound flight TK1971 departs Istanbul Ataturk T1 at 1450 and arrives at Heathrow T2 at 1700. The return leg TK1972 leaves Heathrow at 1800 to arrive back in Istanbul at 2350.

A senior official from Turkish Airlines, who is in-charge for Heathrow and Gatwick airport, expressed pleasure on a new addition to their already impressive roster of flights from London Heathrow.

The increase in services will further strengthen tourism and business ties between these two cities.
