Etihad to add second daily A380 service on LHR - Abu Dhabi route

Business and leisure travellers flying on London Heathrow - Abu Dhabi route will soon have increased flying options as Etihad Airways has announced to add a second daily A380 service on this route, next March.

Earlier this year, the carrier announced to debut its superjumbo on this route on December 27.

The carrier will commence its second daily A380 service on LHR – Abu Dhabi route from March 1. The second superjumbo will fly on this route as EY017 and EY018. The route is currently being operated using A340-600.

As scheduled outbound service EY017 departs Abu Dhabi at 1325 and arrive in London at 1730 local time. The return leg EY018 departs LHR at 2020 to arrive back in Abu Dhabi at 0720 the next day.

The inaugural A380 service, which is scheduled for December launch, will depart Abu Dhabi at 0235 to arrive at Heathrow at 0635 local time. On the return journey the flight will depart LHR at 0915 to arrive back in Abu Dhabi at 2005.
