Wizz Aira, a Hungary based budget airline, has announced to launch two weekly flights to Poland from Glasgow Airport.
As announced, the airline will operate twice weekly services from Glasgow to Katowice and Poznan, from October.
Previously in January, the airline moved its services to Gdansk and Warsaw from Prestwick to Glasgow Airport expecting future passenger growth.
The announcement to launch services to Katowice and Poznan later this year came as a pleasant surprise for travellers from both countries.
Katowice is popular destination among Scottish travellers owing to popular cultural and historical sites like Krakow and Auschwitz in proximity.
With this announcement, Glasgow Airport will become the Scottish airport serving largest number of Polish cities.
