Travellers from Glasgow who wish to take a skiing holiday would soon have an easy transition as British Airways has announced to launch a new direct winter Glasgow - Salzburg service.

The services will commence from December 12, 2015 and will be operated weekly. For the first time the airline is offering a direct service to historic Salzburg, which is a special place for travellers with its alpine setting and beautiful architecture.

Besides being the birthplace of classical composer Mozart, the city has also served as the venue where award-winning movie ‘The Sound of Music’ was shot.

Phyllis Stuart, British Airways’ manager at Glasgow Airport, said that this service will prove good for all kinds of visitors that include music and culture lovers and those looking for a number of skiing resorts in a small area.

Francois Bourienne, Glasgow Airport’s commercial director appreciated airline’s commitment to Glasgow Airport and its passengers.
