Manchester gets first ever direct flight to mainland China

If everything goes well Manchester airport will get first ever flight to China. The service will be operated by Hainan Airlines.

Official announcement regarding this route will be made on Friday when the Chinese President Xi Jinping will join Prime Minister David Cameron at Manchester Airport.

Liu Xiaoming, Chinese Ambassador to the UK, hinted about launch of a direct flight to the UK, in a column. The Chinese Ambassador further said that the Chinese president's visit will encourage productive cooperation at the local level. Both China and the UK are open for business.

During his visit, the Chinese president Xi Jinping will attend the launch of a new direct flight between Manchester and Beijing.

The direct flights between Manchester and Beijing will benefit business and leisure travellers from both these cities besides offering more flexibility and options to them.
