Spectacular Jeddah summer festival

Come June, the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced the Jeddah Summer Festival which will be launched on 5th June to coincide with the start of summer vacations. The festival is expected to attract over a million visitors from Kingdom and Gulf. According to Adnan bin Hussein Mandoura, the decision to launch the festival at the beginning of summer vacation was on the directive of Price Mishall bin Majed, governor of Jeddah and chairman of the Tourist Development Council.

This year the chamber plans to make the festival the biggest tourism festival of Saudi Arabia. The organizing committee has lined up more than 100 events of entertainment, social, sports, cultural activities and cash prizes for visitors for different activities through lucky draws. Other highlights of the festival include the children’s entertainment village, stand-up comedy, car-decorating competitions, and art and theatre activities for kids etc. During the festival the largest Kabsa dish will also be cooked and is expected to be the named in Guinness record.

To take part in this much awaited event take flights to Jeddah where it will take place over 24 days in 30 different malls, parks and tourist sites.
