BA to launch flights from Gatwick to New York

Travel options for passengers flying from London to New York will soon increase, as British Airways has announced to launch flights from Gatwick Airport to New York. The daily route will commence from May 1, 2016 and will be operated using Boeing 777.
The flights will depart Gatwick at 4.40pm to arrive at JFK at 10am.
A senior official from the airline, who is based at Gatwick Airport, said that new route from Gatwick to New York’s JFK airport will give passengers more choices and flexibility.
New York is British Airways’ flagship Atlantic route and is highly popular among leisure and business travellers. The service will provide excellent connections to carrier’s extensive network of short-haul flights to 112 destinations across Europe. The proposed route will complement airlines almost hourly service from Heathrow to New York.
