Arik Air, the West and Central Africa’s largest airline has announced an increase in its flight frequencies to meet passenger demands. The Lagos-Monrovia service has been increased from three to four weekly flights using a Boeing 737-700 aircraft. The new flight will operate on Saturdays adding to the existing Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday service. All these four weekly flights are operated via Accra.

Similarly, the twice weekly Lagos-Luanda service has been increased to three weekly flights which will now operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The outbound flight will depart Lagos at 9:30 pm and arrive in Luanda at 12:35 am while the inbound flight will depart Luanda at 02:00am and arrive in Lagos at 05:05 am. The airline has recently started a new service from London Heathrow, which is the latest step in airlines’ expansion plan in West Africa.

According to Mr. Chris Ndulue, Arik Air’s managing director, there is an increasing demand from the passengers on Lagos-Monrovia and Lagos-Luanda routes and the airline is committed to provide its customers a range of services at suitable times.
