The city is served by Tafuna International Airport which is situated at a distance of 16km from the city. Taxis from Tafuna to Pago Pago are easily available at the airport. Rainmaker Mountain also called mount Pioa is held responsible for the highest rainfall in the region as it traps the clouds. The visitors with adventure in mind will also find Pago Pago an interesting place given its good hiking and trekking options; Massacre Bay and Fagatele Bay National Marine Sanctuary are popular among them. The place is also popular among beach lovers who love frequenting Ofu Beach.
