Montego Bay an energetic city of Jamaica

Situated at the shore of the sea, perhaps Montego Bay would be the first choice of travellers who are seeking for an international break. It is the second largest city of Jamaica and has busy life. Travellers all over the world book flights to Montego Bay to visit and go back from this bustling city round the year. Doctor's Cave Beach Club

This is considered as one of the most popular beaches in Montego Bay and it is visited for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and white sand. Here was a sea cave, whose water were said to have healing powers attract travellers from around the world. Although, the cave was destroyed long ago, the busy beach has a wonderful break feel. Notice coral reefs and plenty of marine life.

Greenwood great house

It is a wonderful antique museum and the greatest house in Jamaica. Constructed in the period of elegance and brutality, the house has preserved the atmosphere of the 19th century and continues to capture the imagination of the visitors. The house still has real furniture; in fact you can say that Greenwood has the rarest compilation of musical instruments and books in the island.

Highlights are – superb oil paintings, a library filled with 1697 books, original furniture, etc.

Martha Brae River

The Martha Brae River is a gentle waterway which found its name on an Arawak woman who killed herself as she said no to disclose the location of a local gold mine. Even there is a small picturesque village west of the river is called Martha's Brae as of this close by river.

Highlights are – Rafting on this river is a very popular activity.

Rose Hall

If you love to see haunted serial or movie, then it is for you. Constructed in 1770, this huge building has become the most desired place to see in Montego Bay. Whether you are visiting in day or night, a feeling of scariness always follows you. Spread in 6,600 acres with 2,000 slaves, it has lavish garden. This visually imposing house has well-known story of a haunting in Jamaica.

Recommended for – Visit if you are a brave enough to scare and have drink at the White Witch pub.
