In recent decades, we have seen phenomenal growth in the Indian outsourcing market. A large number of companies are coming to India due to low cost of operation and skilled manpower. A large number of these companies are in customer support, accounting, animation, IT and IT enabled services. Most of these companies have started their operations in cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai. Good connectivity from the different parts of the world, excellent infrastructure, skilled professionals, lower attrition rates and low cost of living have helped these cities emerge as a great outsourcing destinations. Here we give a brief account of what make these cities worth exploring.

Bengaluru

Bengaluru also called as Bangalore is a prominent IT hub in India. This hub of IT and software is also called as Silicon Valley of India. Pleasant climate has also been a great factor behind Bangalore’s popularity as a hub of outsourcing. The city which is the capital of state of Karnataka in India commands the glory of being the place of origin of the Indian outsourcing revolution. Insufficient infrastructure, constant political bickering, large population and insufficient civic amenities are major bottleneck but Bangalore appears to be fighting these demons. Apart from IT and software which are mainstay for the city, it cater to chip design, IT consulting, tax processing, bio–informatics and other forms of outsourcing businesses. Chennai

Situated on the southern cost of India on Bay of Bengal, Chennai the capital of Indian state of Tamil Nadu has emerged as a popular outsourcing hub in India. The city has an edge over other cities due to low cost of living, better infrastructure, ample space, high connectivity, availability of skilled IT resources and better connectivity from across the world. With excellent infrastructure facilities the city is fast becoming a hub of software, animation, ITES, back office and tax processing among other things. Hyderabad

Delhi and NCR (national capital region)
